Q: What is Open Path Collective?

A: Open Path is a nonprofit matching people who can't afford standard fees with therapists who've agreed to a capped rate — $40–70 per individual session (slightly more for couples). You pay a one-time membership fee of about $65, then the capped rate directly to the therapist for as long as you're in care. It's designed for people who earn too much for Medi-Cal but can't swing $150–250.

Worked example: one-time $65 + 40 weekly sessions at $60 = $2,465/year — versus $8,000+ at the $200 market rate.

Do this: check the full low-cost stack → first — if you have insurance or an EAP, those may beat even Open Path's rate.
